In case I neglected to mention the date, the mini-triathlon will take place on July 11th. I’m starting to really transition into training mode and I have to admit, it has restored some much needed order to my world. I am making smart choices regarding my food, getting my water in, abstaining from alcohol (a biggie for me which in turns also means that I’m not smoking which is totally stupid to begin with and I really need to kick that shit to the curb for good!), I’m training daily and getting my rest and feeling really good. Best of all, I’m sleeping really well. Bonus! Below is my schedule for the past week which I am pretty much right in the middle of right now.
Sun: 30 min bike, strength (yoga)
Mon: 30 min swim, 30 min bike
Tues: 35 minute run
Wed: 30 min strength (training session w/ Mark)
Thurs: 30 min run, strength (training session w/ Mark)
Fri: rest
Sat: 15 min swim, 30 min run
Sun: strength (yoga)
It’s really not that bad and of course, it will get progressively more challenging as the weeks go by, but I’m up for it and looking forward to feeling more and more like an athlete as the weeks pass. I’d also love to shed a few pounds too but that will be like a side bonus for me. I haven’t lost any weight in AGES but whatever. At least I am not gaining! And so forward we go folks.
There are a few weeds popping up in my garden right now but I’m going to wait a bit on those and just leave you wishing you a very Happy Hump Day!
That was a bust

Sounds like lots of fun and not at all boring since you are doing lots of different stuff. Nice to have a goal to stretch to. We'll put the 11th on the calendar.
