Running! Running! Running!

This weekend was just a crazy whirlwind. Friday night we grabbed The Pirate, AC, h and Otto to break in the Filthy Whore II. Sadly, it was raining so we never left the slip but that doesn’t mean we didn’t have fun cocktailing on the dock! The Captain worked his ass off for two straight days cleaning that gal up and Holy Smokes does she shine just like a new penny! Can’t wait to get her out on the river for some serious R&R! We headed home at a fairly reasonable hour and The Captain, AC & h sacked out early while The Pirate and I enjoyed a chat on the porch.

When The Captain left on Saturday I figured I had two lazy days in front of me to just chill out, lay low and get some stuff done. Twas not to be dear readers! Saturday after another fabulously brutal ass-kicking by Mark (I punched the bags so hard I broke the skin on my knuckles! Badass!) I sat down to FINALLY get my computer all set up. I still was messing with the external hard drive and Internet service and after two agonizingly frustrating hours on the phone hating Sprint PCS and their moronic customer service twits with all of my guts and barely tolerating Apple’s customer service folks who kept telling me I had to call Sprint back, I was gifted with an Apple help desk person with a fully functioning brain who spoke perfect English and knew what he was talking about!!! Amazing! He told me that what I was trying to do was impossible….which validated my frustration but left me wondering why none of those other people told me that! He also recommended exchanging my external hard drive for one that cost about $375 dollars less so Hip Hip Hooray for Charlie!!!! My new hero!

Later that night Cam threw out a casual invite for a little vino on the porch with the possibility of a little din din. Before I knew what happened, I was taking in the drag show at the gay bar at 1 am! What a crazy night that turned into! Superfun but WAY too much wine which dashed my Sunday plans for yoga. Sigh.

After sleeping in until 11 on Sunday, I did get manage to get some stuff done but felt like I ran a billion errands. The Pirate and AC made me dinner which was delicious and nutritious and I should have sacked out early but I ended up messing around with my iMovie I created and trying to get it posted to FB so I can share it with my neighbors. Randy came over and we worked on it until about 10:30 and then DJ stopped by and it was another late night for Miss Lu!

And there’s no slowdown in sight. Work is crazy busy and I have evening activities every night this week but it’s mostly training appointments so that’s good. I have made today a new start for me. AC and I are competing to see who can lose the most weight in the next month just to provide us with some accountability and an extra push. I’ve had a great day so far today, loads of healthy choices and I’m really looking forward to my gym time tonight. I finally get to work out with Brian who looks like a prize fighter went 9 rounds on his shnaz and I can’t wait to see what that tough guy has to throw at me!

So onward we go. I have updates about my mom and Miss Emma Beth but those will have to wait for a later date. Hope you are all enjoying your Monday.

I do remember the old Ed Sullivan veriety show. He would occasionally have a performance that was a guy spinning plates on wooden poles. He was constantly trying to get more and more plates spinning, but as more were started the old one would slow down and have to be sped up again. Funny how your blogs remind me of that.

After reading your post, I am more tired than when I started. I don't know where you get all your energy to keep going, can you give me some hints?
